Formal Living

A formal living is a the space right next to the main entrance ,and is usually furnished extensively with more focus on form rather than function. The word "parlour" also describes this socializing or lounge room.
According to size a formal living can be classified into 3 categories :
a) Small
b) Medium

Small Living Rooms

A small living room would be approximately around 10 feet x 12 feet.
This will accommodate a 3+1+1 sofa, a medium sized coffee table, other accessories like carpets, wall paintings and other décor items. A TV Unit is a much debatable topic which can be included or excluded according to the owner's preference.

Medium-sized Living Rooms

A living room which measures around 15 feet x 15 feet could be called a medium sized living room. A large L section sofa or 'lounger', popular love seats could look good in a medium sized living room depending on the shape of the room. An extra side table to display a favorite décor item could be included.

Luxury Living Rooms

A living room which measures more than 20 feet x 20 feet could be called a luxury living room. This living space can have 2 seating areas, which can function as a parlour space while the other with a more dedicated formal guest- entertaining space.
Additional features like a fireplace (functional or non functional), a water body, a space with interior scaping or a live wall can make a formal living more "alive".
